Add optional mattresses and change the look often with an array of cover fabrics and colors. Fold it up or fold it out. Different covers are also available in case you want to mix it up. Most futons are made on a timber frame, typically pine, but many other funiture grade hardwoods are used to create a folding frame which doubles as a sofa or loveseat and as an occasional bed. Selected in an oak color, it's a wonderful expression of brown tones.
